border research reports: Texas Center Research Fellows Grant Program
The goal of the Texas Center Research Fellows Grant Program is to encourage and support
TAMIU faculty research activities that will produce practical and timely information
that can be used by local, regional, state an national decision makers in allocating scarce
resources to meet the social and economic needs of the Texas border region.
Research topics eligible for grant funds include, but are not limited to -aging, banking and finance,
business formation and expansion, colonias, cross-border cooperation, criminal justice,
economic development, education, environmental degradation, folklore and cultural tourism, hazardous
wastes, health care, housing, historical preservation, juvenile delinquency, land use planning, public administration,
transportation, and social services.
